Happy Monday, crawlers! Just a few short weeks until the October 1 launch of the new Dungeon Crawler Carl graphic novel. We've been having a great time sharing some of our concepts for the project, but how about a formal introduction to the full creative team?
Matt Dinniman is a writer, artist, and musician from Gig Harbor, Washington. He is the author of several books, including the best-selling
Dungeon Crawler Carl series (you maaaay have heard of this one before).
Michael Moreci, co-writing the new Dungeon Crawler graphic novel alongside Matt, is a screenwriter and bestselling comics author. His award-winning debut feature film, Revealer, premiered on Shudder in the summer of 2022. His second feature, Holiday Hold-Up, a crime comedy that Moreci co-directed/wrote, was released in 2024. He was also a writer on the SyFy series Revival. In the comics space, Moreci is the creator of the acclaimed gothic horror series The Plot, the werewolf drama Curse, the existential space opera Wasted Space, and the smash-hit sword-and-sorcery series Barbaric. Heâs also written for numerous legendary characters and properties, including Star Wars, Rick and Morty, Stranger Things, and more, and he co-hosts The Filmographers Podcast.
Brett Bean, currently drawing the graphic novel, is a writer, character designer, and artist originally from Seattle, Washington. He is currently working on his creator owned comic book called Dâorc, and has written and drawn two kids book series, Muk n Honey and The Zoo Patrol Squad. Some of his other comic book work can be seen in Marvelâs Rocket and Groot, I Hate Fairyland, and Street fighter x Darkstalkers comics. Brett also works in film, TV, puppetry, and video games on properties like Fraggle Rock, Crash Bandicoot, and the new Naked Gun movie. He lives in Los Angeles with three redheads.
Walter Baiamonte, our colorist, is an illustrator, comic book artist, digital colorist who has contributed his eye-popping colors to titles such as Power Rangers, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Arcade Kings, and more.
Jim Cambell, letterer on the new DCC book, is a multi-Eisner-nominated comic-book letterer as well as occasional writer and artist. He is also a mainstay at Vault, and is responsible for the gorgeous lettering on some of our most celebrated titles, including Barbaric.
