Happy Monday, Crawlers!

Are you ready for another week of kicking ass? Because you guys are inventing the Progression Reality genre right before our eyes. We're now the #8 most funded project EVER on the BackerKit website and, on top of that, we're extremely close to opening the Gold Fan Box with the next round of free upgrade rewards (and "rewards") for you to choose from.

And, in case you missed this thread, we've decided that waiting for Fan Boxes to open can get a little dull, so we've been sprinkling in optional achievement-based unlocks. Last Friday you all achieved (in roughly 30 seconds) a new bookmark add-on, available now! This reward was sadly not chosen for inclusion in previous Fan Boxes, but for everyone who commented your disappointment--we got you.


Will there be more add-on challenges? Definitely. Will they be a little harder to unlock than the previous one? Probably. Will one of them be the option to pump your boxes full of glitter? NO, you absolute sickos.

There's a lot more to come, but in the meantime, let's return to our roots and get a Backer-only sneak peek of concepts from the graphic novel.

First off, I must say wow. In just two days, you've helped raise 1.25M for this campaign, pushing it into the top 10 most funded projects EVER launched on BackerKit (currently number 9), as well as one of the longest Backer Trains ever achieved. I can’t tell you enough how excited people are to see how all this is going to play out.

The Add Glitter faction unfortunately did not pull through on the last round of voting, but we do appreciate your dedication to chaos.

So, to keep it honest,  if *this post* receives 200 responses to the above question, we will make the most upgraded version of the bookmark available as an optional add-on.

Thank you for making Dungeon Crawler Carl: Crocodile graphic novel expansion the most reserved project in BackerKit history, with well over 9,000 backers having reserved before launch! This means, with your support, we're basically launching this campaign fully funded. We're stomping our shiny feet all over the place ✨🦶✨

It's not too late to join in. If you haven't already, please place your reservation before 9am PST/ Noon EST to take advantage of our "Art of the Crawl" concept PDF and, of course, to add the "Noble Steed" holo sticker as a bonus reward. Once the campaign fully launches, these items will not be available from this campaign, at least.

Once more, because it's important--your reservation deposit will be automatically applied to your account AFTER the end of the campaign, so your pledge today (or while we're live) will not reflect that $5 deposit credit. You've borne with us for weeks--some of you for MONTHS--as we've shared concepts and teasers ahead of the launch of the Dungeon Crawler Carl: Crocodile campaign! And now it's HERE.

Around this time tomorrow (8-9am PST, or 11am-Noon EST) we'll be wrapping up our Launch Day Live Stream with Matt Dinniman, Jeff Hays, Michael Moreci, and Brett Bean, hosted by Andrew Givler.

You can catch the entire thing linked on the main Launch Party front page! For those who asked about recording: yes, we'll be recording and sharing the live stream later as well in case you aren't able to make it in person.

After the live stream, at 9am PST/ Noon EST, the campaign opens up to all and sundry.

As the campaign reaches higher and higher goals, we unlock Fan Boxes with extra rewards that will improve your physical reward tiers automatically, at no extra cost to you. Backers (and only backers) get to pick their preferred freebie by BackerKit poll.



Our first FAN BOX opens tomorrow to celebrate Launch Day, so if you want to vote on Fan rewards, be sure to be a Day 1 Backer.

What's the best way to be prepped? Well, make sure you've got a BackerKit account all set up and ready to go. If you haven't already, you can get one of those for yourself at that link. 

Additionally, this is the LAST DAY to get yourself a reservation gift--this awesome Noble Steed holographic sticker, plus the entire collected development art PDF--added directly to your selected non-digital Loot Box once you check out.

An important note for reservation folks: your reservation deduction will be automatically applied at the END of the campaign. When you pledge for a tier, you will see the full amount being charged. But don't worry! We'v already got your reservation on file. That deposit will be applied to your account automatically BEFORE we charge your card, and the bonus rewards will be sent along with your other rewards in the physical reward tier you selected.
